In the vast battlefield of words and letters, a Spelling Bee stands as a global spelling combat that involves spelling words aloud and correctly assigned by an impartial judge. Each incorrectly fired letter leads to the speller’s downfall in this linguistic arena.

The Epic Saga of Spelling Battles

Ever since the 19th century, these spelling clashes have raged across the globe, fueling a passion for native and foreign languages among student combatants. The sole mission of these competitions is to train students to push their limits, foster confidence, and thrive in the competitive academic environment.

FIRST EVER PAKISTAN SPELLING BEE

In a bold initiative, Pakistan stepped onto its own battleground, hosting its first-ever Spelling Bee contest, where even the native tongue, URDU, secured its place in the heart of the spelling battlefield. Storykit, a local education startup, initiated this grand contest, drawing over 2000 teams and 6000 aspiring word warriors from more than 35 cities across Pakistan. The battle commenced on October 21, 2023, for students of grade 3 to grade 8.

ROLE OF PESHAWAR MODEL SCHOOLS

Peshawar Model School (PMS) Boys 4 and Girls 5 wholeheartedly opened their doors for Round 1 and 2 of KPK regional rounds for the Pakistan Spelling Bee competition. In the regional round, students from different schools across KPK confronted each other in a fierce spelling attack. Students from PMS showed great spirits in front of their competitors.

THE UNDEFEATED WARRIORS OF PMS IN THE FINAL ROUND

Two teams of Grade 5 of Peshawar Model School fought hard and emerged victorious, securing 1st and 2nd positions in the final round of Pakistan Urdu Spelling Bee, held in Islamabad on December 2, 2023. The winners received gold medals, shields, certificates, and cash prizes.
